Christmas is celebrated throughout the world to mark the birth of Christ. During this season people adorn their homes in the best possible way using different decorative items that can be found in stores. At the same time people try to embellish the indoor as well as the outdoors of the house with numerous kinds of handmade or bought crafts.

These crafts may be paper crafts, woodcrafts or food crafts.

Christmas Food crafts are made of vegetables or cereals or any other food product.

With the assistance of the materials and the instructions given below you can make some Christmas Food crafts by your own.

Vegetable Prints:
You will need
•    Butcher’s paper, tissue paper, rice paper, or shelf paper, 9 X 12 inches or larger for wrapping paper, or smaller for writing paper.
•    Newspaper
•    Jar of water
•    Paintbrushes
•    Various fruits and vegetables
•    Tempera paints

Method
•    Adjust the paper on top of newspaper and fill jar with water to hold brushes.
•    Cut mushrooms and cauliflower florets top to bottom and an apple crosswise. Let them dry on paper towels for about an hour.
•    Brush the cut surface of the vegetables and fruits with tempera paint and printing them by pressing on the paper.
•    Do a random pattern with the help of fruits and vegetables or create rows of the same vegetable and fruits in various colors to your taste.
•    Once the paint dries, the paper is ready for usage.

String of Paper Gingerbread Men and Women:
You will need
•    Brown grocery bag or brown/tan construction paper
•    Crayons or markers
•    Scissors
•    Glue, tape, or staples
•    A long piece of green or brown yarn or string

Method
•    Draw a gingerbread man or woman on one piece of construction paper. Draw a rectangle on the top of the head as this figure will hang from this rectangle that will be folded over.
•    Cut out the gingerbread figures drawing a face, clothes, etc.
•    Fold the rectangle at the top of the head over.
•    Adjust the gingerbread person to a long string tape, glue, or staples. You can create as much gingerbread people as you wish attaching them to the string.
